Guidelines

Quality of Submissions

Naturally we are looking for submissions which are well researched and well written. When considering submissions on new topics we are quite forgiving of grammatical errors and poor construction, with the understanding that these submissions will be edited at the earliest opportunity.

Copyright, Originality & Uniqueness

All submissions must be 100% original and not duplicated at other websites. If the person submitting the material is not the author, they must have permission from the author make the submission.

Credit

Because all articles are subject to review and editing we do not generally provide credit to authors. However we can make exceptions — please let us know if you require credit.

Objectivity

We strive to keep this website neutral and objective. Submissions which do the same are more likely to be accepted.

You may submit material which represents a particular viewpoint, even if that viewpoint is unpopular, but please try to present a fair and balanced case that respects all opinions and beliefs.

In the case of unproven or disputed claims, please refer to them as such. For example, rather than saying "Alien abductions often take place at night", say "Most reported alien abductions are said to have happened at night".

Evidence & Citations

We are very keen to publish evidence of paranormal phenomena. Wherever possible, please be very precise when quoting evidence. Refer to experiments and studies, cite published papers, quote experts, and do everything you can to back up arguments.

Remember that there are many types of evidence, some more valuable than others. Anecdotal evidence (see below) does not carry the same weight as formal peer-reviewed evidence.

Important: A single experiment, study or scientific opinion carries a lot less weight than a collection of similar material. Many scientific experiments are flawed, so be careful about which ones you cite and check their credibility.

Anecdotes

We are happy to consider anecdotal stories related to any paranormal topic. However you must understand that anecdotal evidence is not regarded as high quality evidence. Anecdotes which are accepted for publication will be categorised as such, and the discerning researcher will weigh them accordingly.

Anecdotes can be given more credibility with the inclusion of supporting documents, photographs, names of witnesses, etc.
