Paranormal Photography Equipment

Film vs Digital

Many hunters of the paranormal believe that digital cameras are best suited for photographing paranormal energy or light spectra. It might be necessary to experiment with several types of cameras before you discover the one that works best for your purposes. Both types of equipment present a number of pros and cons for using them.

Film cameras have the advantage of producing negatives that can be tested for signs of tampering or anomalies in their content. Film cameras are generally less expensive to purchase but they have a much higher ongoing cost. Plus, the turnaround for viewing the images is longer and therefore, a major drawback.

Digital cameras provide quick access to photographs with no additional expense. On the downside, digital cameras do not provide negatives that can be used to verify the authenticity of the images. Since digital photographs can easily be altered, this could be considered a major drawback.
